New project: German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue

Berlin Economics will be implementing the German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD) in its new phase, together with DLG Markets GmbH.

On 17 January, the Memorandum of Understanding for the seventh phase of APD Ukraine was officially signed by the German Federal Minister Alois Rainer (Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity, BMLEH) and Minister Oleksii Sobolev (Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine) during the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA).

As part of BMLEH’s Bilateral Cooperation Programme, the project aims to promote sustainable and competitive agricultural policy and integrated rural development, advancing agricultural trade between Ukraine and Germany and the EU and fostering Ukraine’s alignment with the EU.

The project team consists of experts specialising in EU agricultural policy, EU integration, and economic cooperation. They will work on strengthening local capacities and international dialogue to effectively shape the pre-accession process with the EU between Ukrainian, German, and European actors in the agricultural sector.

We look forward to supporting Ukraine’s progress towards EU integration!
