Yiğit Tahmisoğlu

Analyst

Yiğit Tahmisoğlu works as an analyst in the Energy and Climate Policy team at Berlin Economics since May 2024.

His expertise includes value chain analysis, industrial decarbonisation, and CBAM. He has authored and co-authored studies on renewable equipment value chain localisation and steel sector decarbonisation in Ukraine, solar PV value chain in ASEAN, impact of CBAM on Kosovo and North Macedonia, among others. He has also contributed to the modelling and development of strategic policy documents, such as Kosovo’s first voluntary NDC and the draft NECP.

Prior to joining Berlin Economics, Yiğit worked on industrial decarbonisation for a Brussels-based NGO, on digital development at the World Bank’s Vienna office, on digital transformation at SOCAR Turkey Energy AS, and as an intern at KfW IPEX-Bank in Istanbul.

He holds an MA in Economics from Central European University and a BSc in Economics and Management from Istanbul Bilgi University and the University of London (LSE).
