Dr. Ricardo Giucci, Head of the German Economic Team, opened the panel “Kosovo: A Macroeconomic Overview” with a comprehensive presentation of the country’s current economic situation. He highlighted that Kosovo’s projected economic growth of 3.8% for 2024 puts it at the top of the regional league. He also emphasised the country’s fiscal stability: with a budget deficit of only 0.2% of GDP in 2023 and record FDI inflows reaching 8.8% of GDP, Kosovo is showing solid economic development.
Rouven Stubbe, energy expert at Berlin Economics, spoke about sustainable development strategies in the panel “Sustainable Pathways: Advancing the Green Agenda in the Western Balkans”. He also moderated a live podcast episode entitled “How to Invest in the Energy Sector in Kosovo: A Checklist”.
