Dr Hans Janus

Hans Janus studied Law and Russian Language at the universities in Bochum, Hamburg and at the Moscow State University (Lomonosov University).

For more than 30 years Hans Janus worked for the Euler Hermes Aktien JSC in the field of state export credit coverage by the German Federal Republic and was member of the board from 1994 until 2014. From 2003 to 2005 he was President of the Berne Union, an international credit and investment insurance union. Since 2015 he has his own office in Hamburg and works as a lawyer and business consultant.

Hans Janus is a financial expert for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He is deputy chairman of the German-Russian Lawyers Union. Mr. Janus is the author of various publications in the field of banking law, public business law and international finance and trade law. Also, he is one of the authors of the Manual for Banking Law (C.H.Beck-Verlag) and editor of the German-Russian Law Journal DRRZ (Berliner Wissenschaftsverlag).
