Professor Lucila de Almeida

Assistant Professor of Law, Wageningen University & Research

Professor Dr. de Almeida is Part-time Assistant Professor at European University Institute, Florence School of Regulation, and tenured Assistant Professor of Law at the Wageningen University & Research since 2020. Before, she has worked as lecturer at University of Helsinki, as research fellow at the Tel Aviv University.

Her research focuses on the intersection between energy aw and private law, as well as the governance of agencies. Thereby, she is member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Legal Studies and has worked on various projects as researcher and consultant funded by prestigious organizations, among them, the International Energy Agency (2019-2020), the Academy of Finland (2017-2018), European Research Council (2013-2016), and Inter-American Development Bank (2011).

Since March 2020, she supports the activities of Berlin Economics with advisory in EU energy law. In this field, Lucila de Almeida has been lecturer at the training “EU energy law for Ukrainian policy makers”, which was jointly organised by Berlin Economics and the NGO DiXi Group. Decision makers from the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, the Ministry for Regional Development, the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Environment, from the Verkhovna Rada and further Ukrainian institutions took part in her lectures.
