Marie-Aimée Salopiata

Consultant and Project manager

Marie-Aimée Salopiata joined Berlin Economics in 2022 and works as the project manager of the German Economic Team and as consultant. In addition, she coordinates several of Berlin Economics’ projects in the field of energy and climate policy as a project manager in the energy and climate team.

After her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Economics at the University of Mannheim and an exchange semester at Umeå Universitet, she completed a Research Master in Philosophy and Economics and a Master in Policy Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her main study focus was on policy evaluation.

During her studies, she gained practical and international experience as a Carlo-Schmid Fellow at the United Nations Environment Programme in Geneva as well as through internships at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety in Berlin and the World Resources Institute in The Hague. In this context, she worked primarily at the nexus of environmental, economic and social policy issues.
