Empowering of future-oriented investments in electricity grids in Western Balkans region

The objective of the assignment is to build the capacity of all stakeholders (grid operators, regulators, ministries) in the electricity sector of the Western Balkans region for RE integration, with a focus on management of EU funding in the power sector.

The overall goals are
1. Prepare stakeholders in planning projects, applying for funds, procurement, project management, monitoring, and financial management of EU funds and develop real cases of proposals during training(s) and submit to calls after adjustment.
2. Investment needs study: estimate and quantify necessary investments needs in power grids (both distribution and transmission) across the Western Balkans in order to achieve necessary RE and decarbonizing targets, in accordance with relevant intl. commitments such as NECPs, Paris Climate Accord, GAWB.
